What I really wanted to say in the heading was what I wished I knew before I started a business online. However, that would be too long and typing the URL for it would be a bit of a nightmare!
None the less this is something many people about to start an online business might be musing about, are you?

You can’t go into it blind just wanting to make money. You need to be in the know.
Here are some facts about how to start a business online:
Fact 1 – You will need customers, but not everyone is a customer. In fact, not every customer is a motivated customer. Some people may want what your offering, but still won’t buy from you. However, working on your personal development will soon sort that out!
Fact 2 – You have to quickly learn how to sell without pitching. It’s been established that people don’t like to be sold to which sometimes presents itself as a bit of a conundrum.
Fact 3 – You have to establish a marketing and advertising budget early on where you can sell your product and services and be found by those who are looking.
Fact 4 – Organic marketing can work within a short space of time if you have the right following who engage with your content.
Fact 5 – Where you don’t have a following or a marketing and advertising budget it can take years to have a successful business online where you are actually generating an extra income.
Fact 6 – Everything does not work for everyone, so the trick is finding what you are most successful at and generally your level of sales will tell you that.
Fact 7 – Not all social media platforms will work for you. You’ll find out when your persistence doesn’t seem to be paying off.
Fact 8 – Starting a business online does not have to be expensive. If you can’t afford it, find another business product or service online that you can afford.
Fact 9 – If you find your monthly, quarterly or yearly outgoings exceed your incoming earnings for those periods, it’s time to change what you’re doing or just stop and find something else.
Fact 10 – Getting others to buy from you should not entail you making a list of family, friends, acquaintances or strangers. Customers buy, not just anybody, so don’t waste your time on people who have no interest in the product. It makes sense, doesn’t it? So, throw away that list.

Fact 12 – Not every work from home opportunity is for you. In the early days I used to think because it worked for others it should work for me and that kept me in a needless struggle for an unnecessary amount of time. Are you experiencing the same struggle?

Fact 14 – In fact 3 I mentioned an advertising budget, but not knowing how to effectively advertise, market and promote could be a jolly good waste of your budget.
